Searching for the right college is one of the most exciting and anxious times in a student's life. Determining the best location, size, distance from home, major, etc., can be both thrilling and confusing, and it is important that parents and families are a part of this process.

Because parents and families play such a significant role in this critical decision, we want to let you know what makes Northwestern unique. Northwestern will teach your student to communicate even more effectively, provide opportunities to collaborate with faculty and fellow students, and offer a multitude of choices (both academic and extracurricular), all just a few miles north of Chicago, a world-class city.

It is important for parents and families to know as much as possible about the schools under consideration so they can act as a sounding board for students as the list of college options is narrowed and applications are submitted.
